How to spice up boring oats/porridge

Eating plain oats every day is boring. Don’t get my wrong it’d be full of fibre and extremely nutritious but zzzzzzz… So to spice up my boring oats at breakky I decided to start playing with the flavours a little. I now add cinnamon and green apple to my morning oats and it just gives it that bit of punch that takes oats to the next level. The warmness of the oats with the crunchy green apples, yum! This morning I tried it with crushed walnuts as well. Will keep you posted if I come up with any other great flavour combos.

Ikatehouse! Amazzzzzzing!

So as an Aussie we definitely get the raw end of the stick when it comes to the price of cosmetics!

After watching hundreds of YouTube videos where elf products were being used I figured it was time to get my hands on some.

Problem: they’re from America.

God gift from heaven for all you nail painters!!

You know when you’re doing your nails and you’ve waited ages for them to dry, think you’re safe and NEK MINNIT those beautiful fresh nails are ruined because they weren’t dry and you’ve knocked them against something!!! Well I have been praying for a product to fix this and have recently found one! Essence express dry drops. Not only does it work, it’s cheap! I got mine for about $3.50 from Priceline. BRILLIANTT!

Big, Bold, Beautiful Lashes

People often ask me if I am wearing false eye lashes because my eye lashes look huge. Most of the time I am not (only wear falsies on special occasions) so I thought I would give you my tips on how I make my eyelashes appear nice and big!

Firstly, currrrrl those lashes girl! I cannot stress how important this step is. Curl them lashes. This points the lashes up to the sky which gives the false lash effect. I use the Lancôme eyelash curler (came in a pack as a present) but any normal eyelash curler should work.

Secondly, apply layer upon layer of mascara. I use Maybelline vibrating mascara. I rarely use the vibrating part of this mascara I just find this mascara gives me the thick clumpy lashes I am after. Use your mascara and do countless layers brushing up. To give these lashes more dimension I also apply one of two coats of mascara brushing down the eyelash. This gives it HEAPS of volume.

Yummy, healthy, sugar free biscuits

A healthy cookie made with just four ingredients, is that even possible?!? Yes it is! Mashed bananas, rolled oats, crushed walnuts and cinnamon to taste. Healthy and delicious HASHTAG winning!!

You could have these as a snack or with breakfast, best part – completely guilt free!

First step get yo ingredients together. For this we will need 3 small bananas/2 medium ones (SUPER RIPE! I CANNOT STRESS THIS POINT ENOUGH, HENCE THE CAPITALS!!), 1 cup of rolled oats, ¼ cup of crushed walnuts and cinnamon for flavour.

Step two, line two trays with baking paper and turn your oven on to 180⁰ (fan forced).

Next, get out a bowl and mash the bananas.

After these are mashed add 1 cup of rolled outs and combine.

Add in your crushed walnuts.

Lastly, add your cinnamon – in the end I think I used a whole teaspoon (love that shiz!).

Roll these into small balls (should make about 16) and pop these in the oven for 10-15 minutes or until brown.

And you sir are done! Easy as that!

Concealer!

Hi Guys,

Up until a few months ago I would always put my primer on, pack my face with concealer and then put my foundation on. Boy was I wrong! When you apply your foundation first you cover up most of the imperfections already, then you only need to go back and touch up a few blemishes with concealer. By putting on my concealer first I used up a lot more concealer then I actually needed and when putting on my foundation with a brush I was basically wiping off my concealer anyways, ahh so silly! So to do this the right way:

Step 1: Apply foundation all over the face with a brush or sponge.

Step 2: Have a close up look and see if there are any areas which need a bit more coverage.

Step 3: Spot conceal on those areas which were missed (make sure to only apply a thin layer).

My favourite concealer is Essence Stay Natural Concealer. It’s a wind up pen so it’s so easy to use, best of all it’s so cheap! I think it was $3-5 from Priceline! Cant beat it! It looks like this…

Easy, delicious veggie soup!

Simple, Easy Veggie Soup!

If you are like me, soup is not your thing. It’s boring and bland, hell even the word soup is dull. Recently though I have started my “healthy eating journey” diet is a banned word as far as I am concerned.  I want my healthy eating to be a life style change not a fad. Anyways, back on topic, I wanted to share with you a simple, easy  veggie soup recipe that I love.

Ingredients:

  • Zucchini
  • Cauliflower
  • Broccoli
  • Onion
  • Spring onion
  • Carrot
  • Celery
  • 1 litre chicken stock

Method: I kid you not, cut up the veggies, spray the bottom of a big pot with olive oil, bang all these veggies in there, cook for a while to soften them up, band the chicken stock in there, leave the veggies cooking until they are cooked to your liking and you’re done!

Whether it’s a morning tea snack or accompanied by some toast at lunch this is by far the easiest soup recipe ever. Also, don’t be afraid to add in whatever veggies you like too, the more the merrier.
