People for Plants Skincare Review

Hi Guys,

Today I will be reviewing a few products from the People for Plants skincare range which were kindly sent to me. Being new to skin care I had this misconceived idea of how my skin was and basically that was as good as it was going to get. WRONG! Believe it or not your skin can get better. My flawed idea that skincare only maintained your skin current condition and assisted with the ageing process was so misconstrued. Using skin care products actually makes your skin better whilst aiding the ageing process. My skin now feels hydrated and my redness in my cheeks has decreased significantly. So today I bring you the range which has opened my eyes completely and whats best about these products is that they are made with certified organic and natural ingredients. Which to be honest never used to be a concern for me, knowing little about skincare, but why wouldn’t you want to use organic products on your face. People for Plants pride their products on being free from parabens, sulphates, artificial colours, synthetic fragrances etc (see the full list here). So let’s jump straight into the review..

Pomegranate, Burdock and Shea Night Cream

If you follow my blog you would have seen this baby in my monthly favourites so I am super excited to review it for you. Prior to using this night cream I was using the Sukin night cream which is amazing but having this product in a tube rather than in a tub had me reaching for the people for plants night cream more often. At night time you are tired and want something which is easy to apply that you can just slap on your face after jumping out of the shower and this product provided me that ease. The pomegranate and vitamin c rich product allows your skin to restore overnight leaving it feeling supple and hydrated in the morning.  You can pick yours up for $29.95 here or at your local Priceline.

Kakadu Plum, Calendula and Chamomile Eye Cream

I am sure I am not alone when I say I have very irritable/soft skin around my eyes. This makes me very hesitant to apply any kind of product around my area (even a soft cleanse can send my eyes into a burning/stinging hot mess!). I have applied other branded eye creams before (namely the Estee Lauder one – and had to take it off straight away as it made my eyes water/sting). So you can appreciate why I was reluctant to use any eye creams. However, I mustered up the courage and boy am I glad I did. This product is so soft on the skin and doesn’t irritate my eyes at all. It leaves my under eyes feeling hydrated and awake. If you are like me and struggle to find eye creams that don’t irritate your eye area this product is definitely for you!  You can pick yours up for $19.95 here or at your local Priceline.

Argan, Pomegranate and Milk Thistle Face Oil

I use three to four droplets of this baby before I use the night cream almost every night. You’d expect to put this on and feel like a grease ball but that isn’t the case at all, its light in texture and absorbs almost instantly. This paired with the night cream and eye cream is a match made in heaven. This product helps stimulate the production of collagen and helps strength skin cells whilst soothing and nourishing them. As mentioned before a combination of all three of the products has helped my skin feel more hydrated and elastic but most notably reduced the redness in my cheeks by a good 50% at least. You can pick yours up for $29.95 here or at your local Priceline.

I cannot wait to try more products from the People for Plants range. This brand produces reliable, high quality affordable organic skin care. Please support an amazing Aussie brand by checking out their full product range here.

July/August Monthly Favourites

Hi Guys,

So today I am going to be sharing with you my current favourites so let’s hop straight into it.

10582315_10152182239132657_1390036420_nOlay Fresh Effects Bead Me Up Cleanser – I bought this cleanser while I was away for work and in my rushed stage forgot to pack one but I’m so glad that was the case as I have been loving this product. As the name suggest this cleanser certainly gives a “fresh effect” leaving my skin feeling awake and rejuvenated. It removes my makeup and is very gentle on the skin.

Puretopia Body Polish* – HOLY GRAIL ALERT! You know when you are at the beach and you rub your sand all over you body to exfoliate your skin?! Or is that just me?! Anyways, this is that in a bottle! Except it smells 100 times better! I love this scrub for a deep cleanse and use it once or twice a week to get rid of all my dead skin cells. I will definitely be doing a review of this product alone as its just fantastic and everyone should go buy one!

People for Plants Night Cream* – Having only recently discovered the importance of incorporating skin care into my daily routine I am quite a newby in the field but I can already notice the difference this night cream has on my skin. My skin feels soft, hydrated and best off all my redness has reduced by an easy 50%, with results like this this product wont be leaving my everyday routine any time soon!

The Balm Hot Mama Blush* – I’m not a blush person, I’m more on a contour girl but I’ve been trying to work blush into my everyday routine and I have been loving it lately. It just makes me look so awake and fresh and I love the coral glow this blush gives me!

Maybelline Big Eyes Mascara – LOVEEEE this product! If you haven’t seen my review on this product already you can check it out here but this product is just fantastic. To my knowledge this is the first drugstore brand that has come out with a bottom lash mascara and I am so impressed! Priceline is currently having 50% off Maybelline at priceline so you have no excuse not to pick up this amazing mascara!

Covergirl Bombshell Shineshadow in Copper Fling* – I love this products (you can see my review of the full range here)! Copper Fling its a beautiful copper colour perfect for everyday to slide over the lid!

Maxfactor Excess Volume Mascara* – If you follow me on Instagram (@xxbrittersblog) you would have seen my before and after using this mascara (or you can see below) and and I feel that image speaks for itself in terms of the result you can achieve with mascara. Its fantastic!

So there you have it guys, my current favourites!

Have any of you guys tried any of these products before? Thoughts?

Until next time..
