My In flight Travel Essentials for Long Haul Flights

Hi Guys,

Following on from my ‘what’s in my travel makeup bag’, I wanted to do a post on what are my inflight liquid essentials plus are few over miscellaneous items. So here I basically downsized a lot of creams and hydrating sprays I use to the 100ml limit that international flights have. I watches a tonne of YouTube videos on what to bring beauty wise for international long haul flights as I want my skin to remain as healthy and hydrated as possible. So here is what I took in flight with me. (Sidenote: If you have any questions are what some products are ask me in the comments and I will do my best to get back to you with full product names and details) (more…)

My Travel Makeup Essentials

Hi Guys,

So as some of you may know, I have just left today to go overseas away on a 6-7 week adventure travelling USA, England, Scotland, North Ireland, Republic of Ireland and Wales on both a Contiki and Topdeck tour! Yay! So I wanted to show you my makeup essentials that I am bringing. Now I have had to cut down HEAPS on what I would usually take away. Not going to lie, I would usually take away 2kg’s of makeup alone but I am trying to cut down as I will be taking a backpack so I am only trying to take the bare essentials. Still went overboard on lip products though, oops. So here are my makeup travel essentials…

What do you think I took that I probably didn’t need to take or what would you have added?

Until next time..

Napoleon Perdis Spotlight and a review of RY.COM.AU

Hi Guys,

So today I am reviewing a few Napoleon Perdis products I received from ry.com.au. They are the China Doll Foundation in Look 2, Camera Finish Powder Foundation in Beige Beauty and a Mattetastic Lipstick in Grace.

IMG_3743

First of all, let me just start by saying, Napoleon Perdis was the first “high end” brand I ever purchased makeup from. Ive been a Napoleon Perdis fan since I was a wee teenie bopper and used to get my makeup there for events such as formals and parties and have many loved products from the range. They are an Aussie brand who produce amazing quality products. They have some of the best makeup artists working for their company too and I don’t think there was a time I ever left a Napoleon station dissatisfied.

Anyways, enough of me raving about the company and onto the review.. I have actually used two of the three products sent to me. It is my second tube of the China Doll Foundation and my third of the Camera Finish Powder. I absolutely adore the camera finish powder. Its high coverage and also a great compact to take with you on any occasion.  It’s packaging is to die for and while I wouldn’t usually lash out $70 for a powder anymore with such amazing affordable dupes on the market I do love this powder and have no faults in the product itself.

I hate to say this, but I have to be honest – I didn’t like the China Doll foundation. It actually appeared in a ‘products I regret buying’ post I did back in June last year. Now don’t get me wrong here, just because it didn’t work for me, doesn’t mean it won’t work for you. I just found it really hard to blend no matter what type of way I tried to apply it. Also for the size of the product you get I don’t think it’s worth the money. They have improved their packaging since I last bought the china doll foundation but no this wasn’t a hit for me.

The last product I want to mention is the Mattetastic Lipstick in Grace. Now this product was definitely a hit for me. It’s a beautiful dark nude shade or is it too dark to be a dark nude ? haha I don’t know. Anyways, this lipstick is gorgeous. Super wearable and an everyday shade in my opinion which is great for work. This was definitely my favourite out of the whole lot.

Now only a quick review of Ry.com.au which stands for Recreate Yourself. Ry.com.au is an Australian online website which specialises in beauty products. They offer free shipping over $99 and I was able to test the service of the company and they are just fabulous. My transaction was handled smoothly and I was updated as every stage in my order. The website packages their products securely so items aren’t broken and every order also comes with free samples and lets be honest, who doesn’t love free samples. I am so glad to have discovered RY.com.au and will definitely be looking forward to making many more orders with them. They also have the Kardashian collection hair products launching on their website soon so definitely keep an eye out, I know I will be! You can find their website here.

Until next time.,

Quick Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

Hi Guys,

So today I am bringing you my last minute Mother’s Day gift ideas. If you are like me, and always leave everything to the last minute these are all things you should be able to pick up at your local Westfield.

IMG_3704

Firstly, lets talk makeup! I have a few recommendations in this area, the Crème Puffed Pressed Powder by MaxFactor. I find that this is such an essential for every Mum. My Mum doesn’t wear makeup on a day to day basis but if shes going out for an occasion she does chuck on some powder so this is so perject for that. It also has, I feel bad saying this, but kind of a typical older lady scent! Which I like, but that’s just what it reminds me of. Also for makeup, I would include a lipgloss – this one is quite neutral but you could pick up something more colourful if you like. To finish off everything that you could pick up at Priceline or Big W/Kmart is the Sally Hansen nail polish.

Next stop is Myer/David Jones and here you can pick up a beautiful perfume for your Mum. My scent choice is Christian Dior’s Hypnotic Poison. Also, while your there grab yourself a candle. Mum’s loveeee smelly things, candles especially. The one I recommend (which I absolutely adore) is Peppermint Grove’s Oceania candle. Whilst this specific candle cannot be purchased at Myer/David Jones, it is definitely worth checking out their stockist and picking one up in a store that close to you. I have an absolute love affair with this candle and will have a review up of this candle and Peppermint Grove candles soon with a quirky idea which I think you may love so keep your eyes peeled.

Last stop at the shops is a trip to Target where you can pick up some gorgeous Mother’s day merch. I picked up the classic mug with a “Beautiful Mum” quote idea. Also, I picked up some “Home is where Mum is” tea towels. Cheesy, But I’m all about that.

These presents range from $5 to $150 so there is something that can fit in anyone’s budget!

Hope this helps some of y’all.
