So another day, another review! And today I am reviewing two new releases from Rimmel – the BB Cream Radiance and Lasting Finish 25HR Powder.
Firstly, I wanted to talk about their Radiance BB cream. BB cream’s have always been a bit of hit and miss for me and I am sure I am not alone in that statement. They are hard to find the perfect fit but I think I have finally found mine. Its spot on! Perfect colour, perfect coverage and sits so beautifully on my skin looking radiant and fresh. This product is available in three shades (very light, light and medium). I picked up Light and it’s the perfect fit for my skin. Rimmel definitely does a great job in catering for us pale white girls haha!
Onto the BB cream.. When I first tried it, I didn’t like it. It looked patchy and didn’t apply well and I put that down to the brush I used (stipling brush). But I wasn’t ready to give up the product, so I experimented with different ways to apply it and I found that the best way to apply it is with your fingers. Goes on such a breeze and the finish you get is so much nicer when applying it with fingers than any other way to apply it.
(The finish I get – super glowy and natural but with great coverage)
Not onto its perfect pair, the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25HR powder. This is such a great quality powder for a drugstore brand. Rimmel is known for creating incredible powders with the Rimmel stay matte pressed powder being a hit with many bloggers/YouTubers. And whilst that certain powder didn’t work for me Rimmel’s new 25HR powder release is a total hit with me.
It’s available in four shades (light porcelain, soft beige, silky beige and warm honey). I got shade light porcelain which is probably too light at the moment with me still having a bit of a summer glow but as the cooler months roll in and my tan fades it will be the perfect fit. The coverage is light but quite buildable so that’s perfect for a powder.
Overall, these two are the perfect combo. I believe for a BB cream this gives a considerable amount of coverage it definitely gives a effortless no makeup look. It’s easy to apply and quick so definitely perfect for an everyday work makeup base. Add a bit of concealer if you want a bit more coverage under the eyes and over your blemishes and your good to go. I will definitely be taking this with me while I am travelling to use as my everyday base as it has a great finish and is also SPF 20+
Have you seen this BB cream out in the shops yet? Thoughts?
Until next time..
