I am super excited to write this post today as I haven’t done a get ready with me look in a while. I went out with some fellow beauty bloggers on the weekend and wore a super simple glam look and wanted to show you how I created the look. Here is the look I created.. now lets get into how I created it…
Firstly, I like to start with my eyes in case there is any fall out from shadow or in case I stuff up my eyes and want to start again (lol :P). It makes the process easier if I am starting again having only just done my eyes rather than my whole face. So I started off by priming my eyes with Mac prolongwear concealer as I find this is the best product to keep my eyeshadow in place all night. I then applied the makeupgeek stary eyed foiled shadow all over my lid using a flat shadow brush and also applied a small amount to my inner corner to make my eyes pop and appear larger. I didn’t even bother with a crease shade or any other eyeshadow colours as I wanted to keep the look simple.
I then went in with the Maxfactor kohl pencil in 002 black and applied this on my upper water line. For my top lid eyeliner, I then applied my cheap and trusty Essence liquid ink eyeliner in black for a crisp top liner look. The Maxfactor masterpiece glamour extensions 3 in 1 volumising mascara was then generously applied to my upper and bottom lashes. I focused more on my bottom lashes because I was going to apply false lashes and I didn’t want my bottom lashes to appear non-existent rather stand out and blend better with a full lash set on top. I then applied the model rock latex free eyelash adhesive glue to my new favourite model rock lashes and applied them to my eyes using cotton tips to position them how I wanted. Last but not least, I applied my NYX jumbo eye pencil in milk to my lower water line to further accentuate my eyes and make them appear bigger.
(The finished look – with me and Celia from http://www.celiaspain.com)
To finish in the eye region I applied my holy grail Anastasia Beverly Hills dip brow promade in blonde to the brows using my real techniques brow brush. To achieve the more ombre brow look I darkened up the end of my brows creating small/hair like strokes using Stila’s stay all day waterproof brow colour in light.
Now onto the face, I went in with a pea size amount of the Porefessional by Benefit and applied it all over my face however, focusing mainly on my t-zone. I then got my real techniques duo fibre brush and buffed in the Stila stay all day foundation in look 2. Using the contour brush from real techniques, I applied MAC prolongwear concealer under my eyes as an under eye highlight. I then applied Rimmel’s lasting finish 25 hour powder foundation in Light Porcelain all over my face using the powder brush.
Focusing on cheeks now, I took out a product I hadn’t used in a while – the NARS laguna bronzer and applied that as my contour using the real techniques blush brush. I also applied Laguna to my temples as bronzer needs to be applied to the areas where the sun typically hits your face. This adds dimension to your face and really brings the look together. I’m not a huge blush fan as some of you may know so skipped this step and went straight to highlighting. For highlighter I used my favourite MAC soft and gentle on my models prefer airbrush concealer brush and applied it to the top of my cheekbones and under my brow bone.
For lips I applied the Essence lipliner in Satin Mauve and then went in with MAC’s Crème D’Nude all over the lips. I wanted this look to look super glam and glossy so added my favourite gloss by Rimmel London – Purrrrr… Glossy Cat. To add the finishing touch I spritzed a bit of MAC’s Fix+ all over my face to make the look appear dewy and fresh.
So there you have it… How I made this super simple glossy glam look. I loved creating this piece for you guys, so if you liked this attempt at a makeup tutorial/get ready with me, let me know in the comments below and I will work on creating more makeup looks for you guys.
Until next time..
