2015 Makeup Favourites

Hi Guys,

So 2015 is over and it was by far the best year of my life to date. I travelled, I met lots of new friends and my blog continued to grow and evolve. In tying up all things 2015 I thought I would share with you my 2014 beauty favourites. Let’s jump straight in..

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Blonde – This would probably have to be my most consistently used beauty item of 2015. Honestly, this product really finishes the look. I even had to transfer the rest of the product into a little mecca sample pot after I dropped the original container – wasn’t going to waste once little last bit.

MAC Studio Fix – This foundation has mixed reviews but I have only positive things to say about this 2015 beauty highlight. When I go out clubbing I do love a dance and I am a sweater so this foundation is perfect for me as I can dance up a storm at the clubs and my makeup doesn’t budge. Apart from possibly needing a powder touch up, rest assured that this is the perfect foundation if you want full coverage, sweat proof goodness.

MAC Prolongwear Concealer – You know when you try a high end product and its so damn good and you are happy that its so damn good but your not happy that it costs quite a bit and you know you are not going to be able to find a drugstore dupe – well that’s this product for me. I’m onto my second prolongwear concealer and despite trying other drugstore alternatives nothings quite as good as this baby. However, I am happy to part ways with the money for this products as it’s the best concealer I’ve ever used and never fails to create the perfect under eye highlight.

Makeup Geek Eyeshadow Palette – 2015 saw me finally purchase my first makeup geek products and boy those products live up to all of the hype. I was able to get quite a few shadows and two blushes and I am constantly reaching for these. They are extremely creamy and pigmented and all you could ask for in shadows/brushes. I just know 2016 will see me purchasing more from makeupgeek.

MAC Soft and Gentle Highlighter – I only own a few highlighters because I don’t find it’s a product you use heaps of so there is no point having heaps as they last soo long! This is the only highlighter I have really used this year – despite owning two others I just don’t reach for them like I reach for soft and gentle. I also love this product as it doubles as a beautiful eyeshadow as well.

NYX Butterglosses – I’ve used the NYX butterglosses for years now but they have definitely been a standout this year and a product I am always reaching for. The super glossy/highlighted pigmented products smell devine and theres not doubt you will always find one in the bottom of my purse.

Essence Liquid Eyeliner – I was introduced to this amazing product in 2015 when I was looking for a cheap liquid eyeliner and haven’t picked up any other liquid eyeliner up since. Not only is it cheap – its amazing quality and unlike some other eyeliners, it doesn’t smudge/flake off.

Until next time..

  1. Where did you get NYX products in Australia? I’ve never seen any but I got some while I was in Canada. Soft and Gentle is such a beautiful highlight, I sort of wish I got it over Lightscapade but oh well. I’ve never purchased anything from Makeup Geek but those eyeshadows look lovely. Thanks for sharing!

  2. I’ve heard tons of great things about NYX! I’m so glad I discovered essence last year! It’s so affordable and the quality is great too!

Would love if you check out my blog! Just followed you on instagram :)
