Fudge Hair Products Review

Hi Guys,

So today I am shining the spotlight on one of my favourite haircare brands, actually scratch that, my FAVOURITE haircare brand: Fudge. Fudge was created so people like you and me can ‘express ourselves’ and I have been using fudge hair products to create crazy colourful looks for years. My hairdresser stocks Fudge and it’s how I get my quirky hair fix when I want a pop of colour through my ends.  (more…)

Rimmel BB Cream Radiance and Lasting Finish 25HR Powder Review

Hi Guys,

So another day, another review! And today I am reviewing two new releases from Rimmel – the BB Cream Radiance and Lasting Finish 25HR Powder.

Firstly, I wanted to talk about their Radiance BB cream. BB cream’s have always been a bit of hit and miss for me and I am sure I am not alone in that statement. They are hard to find the perfect fit but I think I have finally found mine. Its spot on! Perfect colour, perfect coverage and sits so beautifully on my skin looking radiant and fresh. This product is available in three shades (very light, light and medium). I picked up Light and it’s the perfect fit for my skin. Rimmel definitely does a great job in catering for us pale white girls haha! (more…)

Napoleon Perdis Spotlight and a review of RY.COM.AU

Hi Guys,

So today I am reviewing a few Napoleon Perdis products I received from They are the China Doll Foundation in Look 2, Camera Finish Powder Foundation in Beige Beauty and a Mattetastic Lipstick in Grace.

First of all, let me just start by saying, Napoleon Perdis was the first “high end” brand I ever purchased makeup from. Ive been a Napoleon Perdis fan since I was a wee teenie bopper and used to get my makeup there for events such as formals and parties and have many loved products from the range. They are an Aussie brand who produce amazing quality products. They have some of the best makeup artists working for their company too and I don’t think there was a time I ever left a Napoleon station dissatisfied.

Anyways, enough of me raving about the company and onto the review.. I have actually used two of the three products sent to me. It is my second tube of the China Doll Foundation and my third of the Camera Finish Powder. I absolutely adore the camera finish powder. Its high coverage and also a great compact to take with you on any occasion.  It’s packaging is to die for and while I wouldn’t usually lash out $70 for a powder anymore with such amazing affordable dupes on the market I do love this powder and have no faults in the product itself.

I hate to say this, but I have to be honest – I didn’t like the China Doll foundation. It actually appeared in a ‘products I regret buying’ post I did back in June last year. Now don’t get me wrong here, just because it didn’t work for me, doesn’t mean it won’t work for you. I just found it really hard to blend no matter what type of way I tried to apply it. Also for the size of the product you get I don’t think it’s worth the money. They have improved their packaging since I last bought the china doll foundation but no this wasn’t a hit for me.

The last product I want to mention is the Mattetastic Lipstick in Grace. Now this product was definitely a hit for me. It’s a beautiful dark nude shade or is it too dark to be a dark nude ? haha I don’t know. Anyways, this lipstick is gorgeous. Super wearable and an everyday shade in my opinion which is great for work. This was definitely my favourite out of the whole lot.

Now only a quick review of which stands for Recreate Yourself. is an Australian online website which specialises in beauty products. They offer free shipping over $99 and I was able to test the service of the company and they are just fabulous. My transaction was handled smoothly and I was updated as every stage in my order. The website packages their products securely so items aren’t broken and every order also comes with free samples and lets be honest, who doesn’t love free samples. I am so glad to have discovered and will definitely be looking forward to making many more orders with them. They also have the Kardashian collection hair products launching on their website soon so definitely keep an eye out, I know I will be! You can find their website here.

Until next time.,

Laura Mercier Creme Smooth Lipstick (Rose) Review

Hi Guys,

So today I have a review for you and I am super excited as this product is fantastic. It’s the Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lipstick in Rose.

This product is amazing, it oozes luxury and delivers on just that. ‘Rose’ is one of the new shades Laura Mercier has released. It’s a reddy coral shade and it looks flawless on the lips with its high pigmentation meaning it’s a one swipe lipstick. I love that this lipstick is so pigmented and I don’t need to apply a multitude of layers to get the colour right.

It’s a creamy lipstick, however, unlike most creamy lipsticks, this doesn’t fly off the lips or move around easily. This lipsticks stays put and its also very moisturising. It kind of doubles as a lipbalm and lipstick which is great value for money! There is one thing which may turn a few people away from this lipstick and that is that it doesn’t have a matte finish. However, if you wanted to get a matte finish I suggest just dabbing the lips with powder. The wear life on this product is amazing. I have tested it over a 10 hour working day and only had to touch up once which is incredible. The packaging screams luxury and exclusivity. Its sleek packaging is sturdy and not flimsy like some lipstick packaging.

Me applying the gorgeous lipstick

This product retails for $35AUD and I think that’s an extremely fair price for the quality of product you receive. Will definitely be picking up more colours from the range.

Swatches of ‘Rose’

Overall, I rate this product highly and if the other colours from the range are as gorgeous as ‘Rose’ I may just have to buy the whole collection.

Until next time..

BOE Beauty Lipstick Review and Swatches

Hi Guys,

So BOE Beauty primarily started as a budget line of cosmetics sold at Big W with all products retailing for $2. Since then they have expanded and developed a BOE Professional range with foundations, BB creams, eyeshadow palettes, creamy lipsticks and more..

Today however, I am reviewing and swatching some of the lipsticks that are in the $2 BOE Beauty range and boy are they good bang for your buck.

(Top left to bottom right: PAIGE, V.I.P, Shocking Matte Pink, Primped matte lipstick)

I’m not going to lie, I held pretty low expectations for these lipsticks. I mean how good can a lipstick that’s $2 be? Uhmmm amazing apparently! I am so blown away by these lipsticks. These lipsticks are creamy and pack a punch in terms of pigmentation. They apply extremely well and have great staying power. The colours pack a certain wow-factor and are the perfect weekend/night on the town shades. I couldn’t believe how similar the shade V.I.P is to MAC’s Saint Germain.

I also like to dap a bit of the melon pigment by MAC on top of the shade Primped Matte for a bit more dimension (see below for picks).

Overall, these lipsticks are amazing value for money. Whilst their packaging isn’t fancy, for a $2 budget lipstick it’s impossible to find a fault with these babies. If you haven’t picked one up already you need to and can find these at your local Big W.

Expect to see more reviews of BOE Beauty products, so keep your eyes peeled!

Until next time..

Autumn/Winter Essentials

Hi Guys,

So today I wanted to share with you my autumn essentials as it is starting to get a bit cooler of a morning and at night. So my autumn essentials are…

LUSH Bubblegum Lip Scrub and Deliciously Skin Lip Salve in Peppermint and Vanilla* – These two are a match made in heaven. We all know as it gets cooler, our lips get dryer and crack easily. So its essential to regularly scrub the dead skin off the lips with the ever so delicious LUSH lipscrub and then hydrate and sooth the lips with the Deliciously Skin lip salve. I am soooo obsessed with this lip balm at the moment – it appeared in my monthly favourites and its now a staple in my handbag as I am always grabbing for it.

People for Plants Eye Cream* and Night Cream* – these two are also another perfect pairing. I discovered this organic skincare brand possibly just shy of a year ago and absolutely love their range. This night cream is life! It hydrates my skin and leaves me waking up with plump and elastic skin as of a morning. The eye cream hydrates my under eye area and overall these products have increased my skin tenfold.

Goatsmilk Moisturising Hand Cream* – With the dryer weather coming in, I know the first thing to chap besides my lips are my hands and let’s be honest, it’s painful. So it’s essential for me to carry a hand cream around in my handbag all autumn/winter long. Not only does this hand cream smell great, it soothes and moisturises my hands perfectly. A must have in my opinion.

Jojoba Botanical Hydrating Face Mask* – Even a typical oily/combination skin girl like me gets a bit dryer over winter so regular face masks are a must do. Especially a hydrating one like this one. It makes my skin feel soft, plump and hydrated which is exactly the goal.

So they are my autumn/winter essentials, I hope they are some of yours too or they have given you some inspiration.

Until next time..
